Can You Miss a Romance?

Yes. Romance routes are missable through quest timing, character death, or the final commitment response.

• Anca: friendship-only dialogue or sacrificing her at the blood pillar can break the route; she can also die if approached under dangerous vampire hunger conditions.
• Crake/Marat: leaving the Manumit quest chain incomplete prevents A Closer Look; failing to kiss him back leaves romance uncommitted.
• Lacra: The Night of Horrors can fail at dawn; refusing the mandrake sequence or letting Lacra eat it ends the night without romance.

The routes do not fail merely because another partner was romanced. Preserve manual saves before Stronger Than Achilles, A Closer Look, and The Night of Horrors, and watch for hourglass/night requirements.
