During A Closer Look, choose the reassurance that nothing he says can change how Coen sees him. Crake initiates a kiss and hesitates; choose [kiss him back] to commit the romance.

Crake is the rebel identity used by Marat. Keep both terms in page copy for search clarity, but explain that they refer to the same person.

His intimate scene does not require selecting the Manumit ending. A direct epilogue appearance is reported to depend on completing Rise at Dawn and keeping him alive.

English auto-captions reviewed September 6, 2026:

  • 00:00-06:20: Anca post-quest conversation, “Screw decency,” romance scene, and cured-Font follow-up.
  • 06:21-15:10: Crake/Marat in A Closer Look, reassurance at 08:31, first kiss, identity discussion, and relationship close.
  • 15:14-25:10: Lacra route, mandrake at 17:09, drink/follow sequence from 20:34, romance scene around 21:18-22:50, and later reflection.

Use official spellings Coen, Anca, Marat, Crake, Lacra, Brencis, vrakhiri, and Svartrau.

Marat and Crake are the same romance route. “Crake” is the identity associated with the Manumit rebellion, while Marat is his name. Guides and subtitles alternate between them, so a Marat page should redirect conceptually to the Crake route without inventing a fourth partner.

Complete the Manumit quest chain through Distant Shadows and A Closer Look. Reassure him after the Ascar/father confession and choose to kiss him back. This is the male romance route for Coen.

Romance does not guarantee Marat survives the throne-room sequence or appears directly in every epilogue. Track survival and Rise at Dawn separately from the romance flag.

1. Join and assist the Manumits. 2. Complete What Hunts the Night and What Moves the Dead. 3. Help Marat/Crake after the Murohn encounter. 4. Complete Distant Shadows and report the Ascar findings. 5. Start A Closer Look outside Svartrau. 6. Tell him his truth will not change Coen's view. 7. Choose [kiss him back].

The reassurance opens the first kiss; returning it commits the relationship. The route can coexist with Anca and Lacra. The final Manumit ending is not required for the scene, but Rise at Dawn affects direct epilogue visibility.

The Fall Before Dusk throne-room survival choice is a separate state and can still kill the character after romance.
