Spare Nish and favor calm/honest choices. During The Night of Horrors avoid wasting the night on the patrol because reaching dawn fails the quest. In the hidden cavern choose [eat the mandrake] → [follow Lacra] → “Who says I'm not?” → [drink] → [kiss her].
Letting Lacra eat the mandrake or refusing it closes the romance scene. Eating it grants Mandrake Ward; Mesmerize is available through the route even without the romance.
