Check chapter endings, active objective deadlines, and irreversible choices separately. Keep a manual save before the prologue closes or you commit to an ending.
Check these risks before moving on
| Risk | What to do |
|---|---|
| Prologue closure | Finish the side stories you want before Sacred Covenant |
| Esme's medicine | Follow the recipe and complete Withering Away in time |
| Active blue-clock objective | Read its expiry warning before another costly action |
| Optional Page-Turner | Decide whether its extra time is worth the scene |
| Final route | Keep a save before the commitment |
Which prologue content can disappear?
PowerPyx lists the prologue side quests as missable after the chapter. Its list includes Live Bait, Dead Drop, Disturbed, Deep Down, Enter Not, Blasphemy, On the Run, Someone Needs a Lesson, If a Tree Falls in a Forest, and the Laslea Glen treasure-map quest. A missable list is not a claim that one route can complete everything.
Is an unstarted quest safe to leave?
PowerPyx describes many post-prologue quests as available until started. Once active, some objectives can expire. Check the journal after each step and avoid killing non-hostile quest givers. See deadline icons for the difference between expiry and day/night requirements.
Which choices need their own save?
Save before a character-survival decision, a major romance commitment, or an ending route. A refusal can sometimes be reversed, while killing a character cannot. Check the relevant choice guide rather than assuming every refusal has the same effect.
Before the final route
Check your remaining rescue time, active objectives, desired allies, and unfinished character quests. Keep a separate save at the ending checkpoint. This is a risk checklist, not a complete route for the current patch.
