Watch for the blue clock in the journal. A quest may gain a deadline partway through; sun and moon icons describe a required phase, not the same warning.
Which icon means a deadline?
| Icon | Meaning | Your next step |
|---|---|---|
| Blue clock | An objective can expire | Read the warning before spending time elsewhere |
| Sun or moon | A day or night requirement | Plan for that phase |
| Hourglass | An action spends time | Check the displayed cost |
When should you check the journal again?
Check after accepting a quest and after each major step. An untimed opening does not prove the whole chain is safe to postpone. PowerPyx reports that many post-prologue quests remain available until started; active stages can then become time-sensitive. That is a general guide rule, not a guarantee for every hidden event.
What is different about the prologue?
Prologue quests can close when the chapter ends. Complete Esme's medicine before its deadline; delaying that objective can cost her life. The missables checklist covers chapter closure separately from individual objective timers.
Before you advance time
Keep a manual save, check all active blue-clock objectives, and read any explicit dialogue warning. If a choice crosses into another phase, resolve the urgent stage first. For the overall budget, read how the clock works.
